Undersized material is often enlarged in size by agglomeration (compaction) prior to crushing and screening to form an improved granular product. In this process, roller presses are utilized to form a compacted "sheet". The subsequent process of crushing, screening and recirculation of the newly resized material in compaction/granulation plants has become an industry standard.
